On Friday evening 6/8/2024 at 12AM EST will be upgrading all of our email servers to the latest version of our email server application SmarterMail which includes many bug fixes,enhanced features and security, and other improvements. We don't expect the upgrade to take more than 2-4 hours. We will update this post as needed.

We've started the updates on all email servers. The first major version update completed successfully. We're now updating to the latest stable release and will update this post once that's complete and we've confirmed that update completed successfully and that all services are working normally.

Unfortunately the latest stable release implements a new indexing feature that causes webmail users to experience a one-time 30 second to 2 minute delay while logging in the first time due to some indexing processes that have to run for each inbox. The more emails there are in the inbox the longer the indexing will take. The same applies to all webmail folders, if the folder being clicked on hasn't already been automatically indexed in the background it may take 30 seconds to 2 minutes to index the folder once it's been clicked on. We're postponing the update to the most recent stable release until we can find a way to optimize the indexing. Users will also be displayed a one-time popup with some new features which they can "Dismiss".
