Email server issue

At approximately 2PM EST on Sunday 8/25/2019 one of our email servers was experiencing connectivity issues. After investigating, we found one of our clients email services hosted on that email server was compromised due to a combination of a weak email password and no malware or anti-virus software on their local computer. As a result, a trojan was used to corrupt some system files. That client has been cancelled and we're in the process of restoring those corrupted files from backup. During the restore process, email services on (or email servers will be unavailable. We will update this announcement once the restore process has completed.

The restore process is still in progress. Due to the amount of data and emails stored it's estimated it may take up to 24 hours for the restore to complete. Our techs were able to make great strides early this morning and restored this email server from backup successfully. We don't expect any additional issues with this email server but will conitnue monitoring it.
